Don’t let your most precious moments fade away on a shelf. Magnetic tape—the technology inside your old VHS cassettes—physically degrades over time. Between tape decay, mold, and the vanishing availability of working VCRs, your family weddings, birthdays, and holiday tapes are at risk of being lost forever.

Our conversion service breathes new life into your analog past, moving your footage from bulky plastic shells to the modern convenience of the cloud, USB, or DVD.

Why Convert Your Tapes Now?

  • Prevent Data Loss: VHS tapes lose quality every year due to magnetic "bleeding." Digital files stay perfect forever.

  • Easy Sharing: Stop lugging around a heavy VCR. Once digitized, you can text a video of "Baby’s First Steps" to the whole family in seconds.

  • Space Saving: Reclaim your closet space by condensing dozens of plastic tapes into a single thumb drive or a secure cloud folder.

  • Enhanced Playback: We utilize high-end playback decks and stabilizers to ensure the clearest possible picture and audio transfer.

Our Process

  1. Cleaning & Inspection: We check every tape for physical damage or debris before it touches a lens.

  2. Pro-Grade Capture: We use professional-grade capture cards to record your footage in real-time, ensuring no dropped frames.

  3. Basic Restoration: We apply minor color correction and audio leveling to make those 1992 home movies look their absolute best.

  4. Format of Your Choice: Receive your memories as high-quality MP4 files (perfect for smart TVs and social media), or classic DVDs.

Supported Formats

Tape Type Description
Standard VHS The classic full-sized home movie tape.
VHS-C The compact tapes used in handheld camcorders.
Hi8 / Digital8 High-resolution Sony and proprietary formats.
MiniDV The final generation of small digital magnetic tapes.

Did you know? The average lifespan of a VHS tape is only 10 to 25 years before significant signal loss occurs. Most tapes from the 80s and 90s are already reaching their "expiration date."

Our Process: What's next

Here is a clear, step-by-step breakdown of how our process works. We’ve designed this to ensure your media is handled with care and that you stay informed every step of the way.

Phase 1: Ordering & Hand-off

  • Step 1: Check Out Complete your purchase through our online store. This officially starts the process and generates your unique order number.

  • Step 2: Coordination Your order automatically enters our ticketing system. A member of our team will reach out to you shortly to coordinate the safest way to get your media into our hands.

Phase 2: Intake & Documentation

  • Step 3: Inventory & Inspection As soon as your media arrives, we perform a thorough "check-in." We document:

    • Quantity: The exact number of items received.

    • Identification: Specific labels or notes to ensure nothing gets mixed up.

    • Condition: We check for any pre-existing damage to ensure we handle your items correctly.

Phase 3: Processing & Updates

  • Step 4: Active Work Our team begins the technical work on your project.

  • Step 5: Stay in the Loop We update our internal notes throughout the entire process. You will receive progress updates so you always know exactly where your project stands.

Phase 4: Project Completion

  • Step 6: Final Review & Return Once the work is finished, we will contact you to schedule the return of your original media (and your new digital files). At this time, we’ll also wrap up any remaining details or "odds and ends" to make sure you're 100% satisfied.

Note: Our ticketing system acts as a "digital paper trail," ensuring that every note and update is timestamped and attached to your specific order for maximum security.
